This was one of those photoshoots where everything was exactly how I envisioned it and more. I had an idea of what I wanted out of the session and the results were everything I could’ve wanted. I knew I wanted a simple landscape to act as an outdoor studio, and was specifically looking for somewhere that I would be able to get lower than them, shooting upwards. We weren’t looking for trees or nature because February in Nebraska means everything is dead and twiggy. The location I found ended up being spot on to what I was looking for; a wide open field with a large hill for some of my favorite photos I’ve ever taken.

Molli and Alex met me at a park in Omaha on one of the best February days we could’ve asked for. The weather was warmer so we weren’t freezing, but the overcast day gave us beautiful diffused lighting and a look that it was colder than it actually was. The two of them are having a late fall Texas wedding so Molli wore cowboy boots to give the photos a western feel, while a cute cream sweater dress completed her look. Alex wore a sweater with a great deep green color that I think complimented the landscape beautifully. 

The two of them were a dream to shoot with and the photos turned out even better than I was hoping. When I got on a call to chat with them, Molli told me she trusted my vision completely and was fully on board with the last minute change in locations when my original spot was loaded up with no trespassing signs. I am forever grateful for clients who go with the flow as much as I do because I feel like it gives me the ability to create without limitations or worries, and gives them a better, stress-free experience.
